In Rice Milling Industry there are two sections of processing, they are as follows:
Cleaning Section: Paddy which is coming from the farmers or from field, will have many impurities such as dust, grass, mud lumps, Strains, stones, etc., which are to be removed and clean paddy is to be given for milling process.
Variety of Rice:
We can supply the machinery for both Basmathi & Non-Basmathi Rice. In these both above varieties we have four types of Rice.
Para Boiled Rice
Paddy after harvesting without doing any external process, if we use for milling, we will get Raw Rice.
Oil Percentage in this raw rice will be about 17% to 19%.
Need to soak in tanks for 6 to 8 hours in hot water.
We will remove water after soaking
After removing water, apply steam for 10 to 15 mins
Drying time will be 6 to 8 hrs or upto 10 hrs
Bran Oil percentage in this type of process will be 25 to 27%.
Once after finishing the above process we should convert the Paddy into Rice by Milling Process. But, before processing the Paddy to Milling, we should check few parameter of Paddy for the convinenince of milling process like moisture level in the paddy. If the moisture is 14% to 15% in the paddy, it is very much suitable for milling. If the moisture level is below 14% the breeding of the rice in the process of Milling will get high and if the moisture level is above 15% the flow of the Paddy in the total process get delayed and even in Polishing Section machines get struck and the polishing will be difficult.
To bring paddy moisture to suitable level for processing, we have two types of drying options.
Natural Paddy Drying
Artificial Paddy Drying
Natural Paddy Drying:-
As such the traditional system, which was following in olden days and even now in few places. In this process we should put the paddy into an open yard and make it dried by sunlight. In this particular process we can not go for bulk production, In rainy season it is difficult to handle and there may be chances to mix up more mud lumps and stones in the yards.
Now a days more number of people are using this system. With the help of glue gases which is generated by furnaces or steam, which is generated by boilers the whole process is getting completed, to do this we need not to depend on labour and we can make bulk productions and in any season the product will not get effected.
